"In 2002 I was blessed with a baby boy. I never understood what true love was until that day. The realization that people wanted what I had, but were unable broke my heart. That's what inspired me to become a surrogate. I wanted to be able to help others experience the joy I had with my son. In Dec. 2006 I was matched and in Feb. 2007 I was pregnant with a singleton. My family and friends were so supportive during the whole pregnancy, but my biggest help came from my sister. She shared the experience all the way to the delivery room when  I gave birth on Oct. 31, 2007. Seeing the family that I was able to help become whole was the most amazingly moving moment. After being put on a different life path, my sister and I decided we needed to do something together to make a difference. I continue to have the need to make others happy and have their lives fulfilled."   ~Peggy Stablein; 39 years old; mother of one

“I had worked with developmentally disabled persons for more than half of my life.  On October 31, 2007 my path drastically changed when I witnessed the miracle of my sister giving birth to a child.  Not physically, or biologically her child, but another family’s child.  Seeing her go through the surrogacy process from day one to day “birth” I felt my life had different meaning.  I have two kids of my own, and could not fathom the thought of not being able to bring them into the world.  In February of 2008, I decided to join my sister in opening an egg donor and surrogate service for persons who are meant to have children and need a little extra help in doing so.  I strongly believe that this is what God has planned for me.”    ~ Christel Stablein; 36 years old; mother of two
